Group History

HAJ Ahmed Abdullah Sheibani, is the founder and Chairman of the Group, born in Taiz, Yemen, in 1931.

  • Sheikh Sheibani moved to Aden in 1947 where he established the Group to become the sole agent and distributor for Coca Cola, Canada Dry and Pepsi in Yemen.
  • Following the nationalization decree, 1968, Sheikh Sheibani moved back to Taiz to set up the first soft drinks manufacturing plant in the city thus becoming the first private sector manufacturing facility in what was North Yemen . Later on, the manufacturing facility became the first bottling agent for Coca Cola in Yemen.
  • In 1968 Sheikh Sheibani started the first paint manufacturing Company in Yemen as a small scale operation which has now become one of the largest volume producers of decorative paints in the Middle East.
  • The Group has benefitted from rapid growth since its humble beginnings, largely thanks to the guidance and leadership of the founder, who began with 1 small candy shop to become what is now one of the most successful privately owned industrial groups in Yemen.
